MES Scholarships Details
- Merit Scholarship for the first three students securing highest marks in class (not division) for each academic discipline provided they obtain at least 60% marks as follows:
- Merit scholarship for the first year students for the first semester of the Academic year will be awarded on the basis of marks of the previous year’s examination (H.S.S.C.). Merit Scholarship for the second year and third year students for the third and fifth semesters respectively will be awarded on the basis of marks of the previous year's second and fourth semester examination respectively
- Merit scholarship for the second, fourth and sixth semesters will be awarded on the basis of the first, third and fifth semester examination respectively.
- Scheme of Merit Cum Means Scholarship for students belonging to minority community.
- Post Matric Scholarship for students belonging to minority community.
- Freeships to the children of political sufferers & freedom fighters.
- Freeships to physically disabled students.
- Freeships to the students belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes (In case of OBC, the family income should not exceed more than Rs 6,00,000 p.a).
- Tuition fees will be waived off for SC/OBC students who fulfil eligibility criteria of income of Rs 1,00,000 p.a. for SC students and Rs 44,500 p.a. for OBC students. For availing this benefit, students belonging to SC/OBC caste should produce valid Income and Caste Certificates issued by a competent authority at the time of admission.
- Education concession to the children of service personnel, which include combatant Junior Commissioned Officers, non-commissioned officers and lower rank in the Army and Officers and Personnel for the corresponding status in the Air Force and the Navy are eligible.
- Central Sector Scholarship will be given to meritorious students securing 80% and above in the HSSC exam.
- Post Matric, Gagan Bharari merit based scholarship to ST students.
- Fee waiver scheme for S.C. / S.T. students pursuing higher education as per letter no. 3/2/2018-19/Bud/DHE/Plan/PF-I/Schemes/92 dated 05/04/2018 of Directorate of Higher Education, Alto Porvorim, Goa.
- Dayanand Bandodkar Scheme for Higher Education for orphans as per letter no. 3/2/2018-19/Bud/DHE/Plan/Schemes/93 dated 05/04/2018 of Directorate of Higher Education, Alto Porvorim, Goa.
- Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Dnyanvruddhi Shishyavrutti (Bursary Scheme).
Student Aid Fund
Student Aid Fund is created to give financial assistance to the deserving candidates from humble backgrounds upto a maximum of Rs 3,000/- per year to meet partly or fully their tuition fees or to purchase books or similar other expenses. To be eligible for the assistance, the annual income of the parents should not exceed Rs 1,50,000/-. The beneficiary should not be in receipt of any other scholarship / assistance except the merit scholarship.
Student Education Fund:
Student Education Fund is created via teachers’ contribution for all those students who cannot afford finance for seeking education upto a maximum of Rs. 3000/-. The students of all the classes/programmes are eligible for the scholarship provided there is no backlog for the immediate previous exam and the annual income of the parents should not exceed Rs. 1,50,000/- .

- Late. Smt. Susheela V. S. Manerkar Memorial Freeship to be given to the needy and deserving student of College irrespective of sex, caste and creed till the awardee completes the course.
- Chodankar Memorial Prizes for students standing First in the college at the B.A. and B.Com. Degree Examinations.
- Late Miss Amita Ranganath Surlakar Konkani Scholarship for scoring highest marks in Konkani (elective) at B.A. Sem. II & IV.
- Late Mrs. Shantaben Nagindas Thakker Memorial Freeship to two needy and deserving girl students.
- Late Prof. K.S. Nairi Endowment Scholarship for Economics to the student standing First in the college at B.A. Semester VI University Examination with Economics (entire) as an elective subject

- Shri. P.A. Borgave Sports award of Rs. 2000/- each for best sportsman and sports woman of the year.
- Late Shri. Prasad K. Rao Merit-Cum-Need-Based Scholarship for first year Commerce Students of the College who have scored 60% and above average marks. The selected students will get merit scholarship of Rs. 5,000/-.
